India 's first multilingual online poll
Over 100 million Indians to choose from the field of cinema, sports, cricket and politics on Webdunia.com
India's first multi-lingual portal, webdunia.com , has launched a unique online-poll to choose the most eminent Indians from the field of global citizenry, political leaders, cricketers, sports persons, films stars (actors, actresses and sexy heroines), as well as the best of Indian movies of 2007.

Over 100 million Indian internet users from anywhere in the world will get an opportunity to make a choice in their own language.

This exclusive poll that combines the inputs of Webdunia users in 9 Indian languages -- Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali-is absolutely free compared to several SMS based polls.

For each category, a team of 9 editors of Webdunia made a short list of 10 personalities based on the number of times their name appeared in the news and features columns of Webdunia as well as user searches made on the language search engine in 2007.

The impact of an individual's choice is visible online to the viewers' seconds after casting their vote. The viewers can see the relative ranking of the 10 names in each one of the 10 options. This allows a viewer to find relative ranking of global celebrities on platforms such as:
